Kiwi Birds - Huia

By Rich McCoy

NZ$ 40 (inc p+p)

A pair of huia would forage together, the male vigorously pecking a decaying tree in search of insects like huhu grubs and weta, while the female used her scimitar-shaped bill to seek out insects more deeply embedded or exposed by the male’s percussive chiselling.

There will only be a maximum of 100 of these, each is hand printed, painted and numbered and because of the creative process no 2 pieces are identical.
