As a photographer, my focus has been on capturing the different styles and variations of Buddha statues, ranging from the traditional to the modern interpretations, in order to appreciate the rich cultural and artistic expressions that are intertwined with Buddhism
From the moment I discovered Zen as a young man, I became fascinated with the teachings of Taoism and Buddhism. Over the years, I delved deeper into these ancient philosophies and found myself drawn to the transformative power of nature, self-exploration, and dharma. After taking a sabbatical from my work in Fintec, I had the opportunity to work on Buddhist Triratna festivals, and my love for this path deepened further.
Photography has always been a passion of mine, and during my travels, I discovered a love for capturing the intricate details and unique styles of Buddha statues. Each one seemed to radiate a unique energy and presence, reflecting the essence of the teachings that inspired them. Through photographing these statues, I was able to not only capture their beauty but also gain a deeper understanding of the philosophy and spiritual practices that they represent.
Ultimately, my journey into the world of Buddhism and Taoism has been one of self-discovery and growth. It has taught me to appreciate the beauty of the natural world, the power of meditation and mindfulness, and the importance of compassion and empathy. Through my photography, I hope to share some of the wisdom and beauty that I have found along the way, and inspire others to explore the transformative potential of these ancient teachings.
