Watch this space, its going to be a beauty, and I just love working with folks like them, they are such a joy.

After what felt like far too long I now have a new office in Europe, having moved to Kenmare, Co. Kerry Ireland for the time being!

Its a long long story, and its a bit of a personal one but needless to say that we are now much closer to family and a vast majority of my existing client base whilst still servicing my clients in Australia & New Zealand.

Initially we had headed out for France but found it far to hard being a family of mixed vegetarian’s / vegans so headed for the more familiar surroundings of Kenmare, Co. Kerry Ireland (My mother in-law is from the town, so my wife is much happier that she can see a lot more of her).

Its been a bit of an uphill struggle getting phone lines and broadband connected but I believe I am now at the top of that hill and have it more or less sorted.

Talking of hills, where bu my last office on Waiheke Island, New Zealand looked over the beautiful Blackpool bay, my new office looks out onto the beautiful Hills and Mountains of this wilds and spellbind region of rural South West, Ireland. The Mountains are so spell binging I’ve already taken a seven and a half hour walk across them from the neighboring town of Killarney, a trip that left we with a loving connection to the landscape, a host of fine photos, some great new ideas and two very sore legs.

Once more I have shunned the big cities, many readers may think its daft that I work for and have worked for companies such as Disney, Kraft, Nestle, LBi, AKQA (to name drop a few in toe curling pomposity), whilst refusing to live in the heart of the action, the fact is, I just don’t like cities, well I like them plenty, but just to visit, I cant sleep in them, or rest, I like country folk, I like small communities, and clean air and the sights and sounds of a more natural world and I find it easier to work, sleep and dream when surrounded by green. Plus in this trade I could live anywhere with a web connection so why not live in a place that my children and I enjoy!

So now I best get back to these projects that have been lining up in my absence from the online realm!

After many a late night and early morning, sever cups of late night coffee, episodes sleeping on the sofa in front of the tragic lantern before skulking into my office after every one has gone to bed for a spot a midnight feast of jQeary & design I’ve finally done three things I’ve been planning for many months but never had the time to do.

The first is I’ve finally updated my CV / Resume site Web Fellow for Hire with up to date info and a few doodles, I’m sure my father would have told me it is a bad idea to scribble on your CV, but that’s why he was a Project Manager and I am a Creative Director. My status as an international freelance creative for hire hasn’t changed however I still have my eye on the horizon for that perfect job.

The second and third are on this site in that I have changed the neat little typeface that I was using for headings for a more bespoke messy hand calligraphy, there are a few examples of the old font on a few pages, but no-one goes to these places much any more and I’ll get around to changing them when I have caught up on some sleep. I have also added a need little jQeary slide show to the home page showing a selection of my recent and not so recent work.

I am currently working on many other things some for clients and some for enterprises that I’ve been invited to participate in so far we have:

A children’s picture-book

An online surveying project

A ground breaking magazine

A web project tool

Other projects are fairing less well, namely the Shopping-Organic.com / live-organic.com site that I started a few years ago and to be honest I just don’t have h editorial minerals to keep on top of, I am considering looking for an editor / writer who would like to adopt my baby and leave me to nurture the creative growth of the site for a profit share, if your interested contact me.
