Some mobile web work I have been sitting on!
There have been a few mobile web sites that I have designed amongst many of new projects I’ve been working on over the last 9 – 10 months, most of which haven’t made it onto my portfolio. I’ve not updated my portfolio not because I’m not proud of the new designs, but because I’ve been to damned busy working on them and relocating. So anyway… most of the new web projects will have to wait tucked up in there nice warm little digital folders until I get time. But with Mobile coming along so fast I felt I needed to show that I do that too and have been working with Hypermedia in Auckland on projects for The Disney Channel, Kraft Foods, Institute of Chartered Accountants & more.
Its an interesting medium that I love the challenges and limitation for, most design folks may be put of by having to create an interface design in about 12 different sizes seing it as dull, but the challenge is there to be understood and meet and I very much enjoy working with these tiny little screens and the adjustments in thinking needed from working for the more traditional web it seams absurd referring to anything online as traditional, but I’ve now been working online for about 14 years and its nice to get fresh new interface challenges.
So the new Mobile Web and Application Design part of my site is under the portfolio section in navigation, and can be accessed directly from the first page in the mobile web design portfolio section.
At least its not like designing for tele-text that I used to do once, now that is challenging.
