2 new doodle projects
As a bit of a side to my primary bread and butter of web design, development & art direction I also have began to cut out a niche for myself using my older pre-interactive skill set as a fine artist and illustrator amongst other things. My latest two illustration projects have been for the wonderful concept of Ooooby (Out of our own back yards) a concept that is deeply aligned with my own community, economical and social philosophies – http://www.mccoy.co.uk/portfolio/illustratorOoooby.php. The second new illustration project is as an additional service in partnership with the User Interface design and general interactive consultancy that I have also provided for the Greek company Days4U Each illustration is based on a different type of event that can be purchased either for yourself or as a gift, they are all based on photos selected by Days4U and can be seen at http://www.mccoy.co.uk/portfolio/illustratorDays4U.php.
Now if only I could find a way of using some of my photography work, I am planning a second photo book ‘If I where a Mushroom farmer’ that is in many respects a multi-layered personal joke, that I often refer to when making statements of doing something less complicated, its origins lso go back further to a misheard conversation by with my father and resulted in me being nicknamed by his friends as ‘Mushroom’ ??? Its a long and very surreal story. But besides that I have a fascination with the form’s of mushrooms, how they grow, the culinary uses of found objects and there perceived strength but absolute delicate reality. I’ll get onto putting it together hopefully quite soon, it will be a bigger book then ‘At the waters Edge‘ but along a similar vein.

great article loving your work mr mccoy
